If you have a very complex mail structure to share you may want to request a shared mailbox instead.
To enable sharing to a user you haven't shared with before:
- Only needs to be done once per user.
- Open Mail in OWA
- Click More under folders to see the full folder list
- Right click your name in the folder list and select 'Permissions...'
- Click the + to add a person
- Enter the person's name and click 'Add'
- Select the desired permissions - 'Folder visible' must be a selected
- Click OK
To share specific folders:
- If you have folders within folders you must share all parent folders of the folder you want to share as well.
- Repeat for each folder you want to share.
- Permissions are not inherited, so you cannot share an entire folder tree by only sharing the top folder.
- Select the folder you want to share
- Right click your name in the folder list and select 'Permissions...'
- Click the + to add a person
- Enter the person's name and click 'Add'
- Select the desired permissions - 'Folder visible' must be a selected
- Click OK
