Moodle Orientation for Students

Access to course(s) - items to consider

Internet Explorer 10 & 11

Internet Explorer 10 & 11 are known to cause compatibility issues with some AU systems/services such as Moodle forum postings and course(internal) mail. We suggest wherever possible to use Firefox, which remains our recommended browser.

Printing Study Guides

If you are trying to print a study guide and all you are getting is what resembles a screen capture rather than the whole guide/unit it is because that study guide uses frames.

The way to print the full Unit/Guide varies slightly depending on which browser you are using.

  • Firefox - Right click anywhere on the content you want to print, and you should see a menu item called "This Frame" click it. Then click on "Print Frame". Your normal print window will popup and allow you to pick your printer and print options, proceed as normal at this point.
  • Internet Explorer 8, 9, & 10 - Right click anywhere on the content you want to print, and you should see a menu item called "print" click it. Your normal print window will popup and allow you to pick your printer and print options, proceed as normal at this point.
